Seadown Veterinary Services - Delivering first-class veterinary care to The New Forest and surrounding areas since 1923.
Seadown Veterinary Services is a trusted veterinary practice, specialising in equine and small animal veterinary medicine in the New Forest and surrounding area. They are unique in having almost 100 years understanding and experience of treating animals in this beautiful national park and are proud to play an active role in all aspects of the forest community. (They celebrate their centenary next year!)
Seadown is a close, traditional practice that operates like a family with local specialists, nurses and staff who are passionate about the practice and their patients. Everyone works hard to marry traditional values of compassion and care with modern veterinary medicine and customer service, treating every patient as if it were their own. They also have a highly respected eye referral service
The practice is independently owned by four directors (one is Kate herself!), all of whom are practising vets and there is the major hospital at Hythe, and two other practice branches in Lymington and Totton.
There is no doubt Seadown is a very special practice, every bit as special as the New Forest area it serves. If you seek exemplary veterinary care from truly knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly people, look no further.
VetLife - A special 30th year for this charity.
To provide support to members of the UK veterinary community and their families who have emotional, health or financial concerns, whilst seeking ways to prevent such situations in the future.
The veterinary community continues to experience significantly higher levels of depression and suicide than the general population. Vetlife works to ensure that those engaged in the veterinary community are aware of available assistance, and signposts them to sources of help should they, or a colleague, be in need of support. Support needs vary according to circumstance and may involve short-term support to cope with an immediate crisis or longer term support for those affected by age, ill health or disability.
Where possible, the Charity tries to enable those they help to become independent and self-sufficient again, and also to maintain longer term support for those who are not able to do this because of age, ill health or disability.
Pets as Therapy - We Strive To Enhance Health & Wellbeing In The Community Through Companion Animal Therapy.
Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a national charity that enhances the health and wellbeing of thousands of people in communities across the UK. We strive to ensure that everyone, no matter their circumstances, has access to the companionship of an animal.
Our volunteers and their friendly pets visit establishments such as care homes, hospitals, hospices, schools and prisons, and bring smiles to many faces. People of all ages get the chance to chat to someone - and stroke and cuddle a dog or cat.
